Specialized Hardrock Disc 29 (2012)

Over all this is a great bike for a beginner who seeks the occasional ride. I have already had to replace a crank and frequently deal with the chain slipping off when shifting quickly on hills and such. I get the bike inspected regularly by a professional dealer so I will blame this on cheap components.

I swapped out the stock tires for some 29" slicks since I am using this more as a commuter bike for now. I ride about 23 miles on the days I ride, and average about 15mph putting forth some effort.

Mine did not come with a lock-out fork, and wish it had.

Overall I am pleased with the bike, and as always, you pretty much get what you pay for.   Less
