Giant Roam 1 (2012)

I've really enjoyed riding this bike. I love that I can take it out for riding with friends on the road or going out on a trail. The locking front fork has been a huge help off-road.
There is something fun about this bike being good at multiple things, verses great at just one. That's why I chose it as my first bike. I wanted to enjoy both worlds. This bike will stay in my arsenal of bikes as I collect them, simply because no matter where I am I can go.

I would advise getting another set of pedals, simply because the stock set can get bent easily if you hit a rock like I tend to do on trails. Also, it wouldn't hurt grabbing a set of road slicks and off-road'ers that you can switch in between rides. I liked having the slicks available for my triathlon. But the stock set are a good easy medium for both road and trail.

The brakes have done well so far, and my only complaint is against my self for dropping it once and the brakes came out of center. Easy fix.

For the price you can't really go wrong.   Less
