Features | 100% carbon monocoque frame: BH manufactured the new RX Team in carbon monocoque, using various carbon alloys and customising the frame to reinforce the more delicate areas and lightening areas that don´t have to bear so much weight and pressure. The arrangement of the carbon fibres in the RX frame follows the same principles and concepts as those developed for the Ultralight frame, with a patented alloy of high, medium and low modulus carbon to achieve the highest quality standards that BH and its riders require from all their frames.
BB386EVO bottom bracket: The RX Team frame has been designed around the new BB386EVO bottom bracket system which allows the use of an 86.5 mm shell. Increasing the surface of the shell, means you also greatly increase its torsional rigidity, strength, and the cyclist’s efficiency during a ride or a race. Furthermore, the position of the down tube and top tubes, together with the new BB386EVO bottom bracket system, allow for the use of the widest wheels in the sector.
Cable guide inside the frame: One of the main innovations of the frame is the new cable guide system. In this respect, the RX frames have been inspired by the new G6s. This mechanism, developed by BH, allows for the integration of both mechanical and electronic systems, ensuring maximum protection.
Fork: Another new feature of the RX Team is the fork design, given that it is completely new. Made of carbon, the 1.5" section of the fork optimises stiffness, provides the necessary precision in the headset, and prevents noise during braking. Similarly, the wheel arch is oversized so as to prevent the accumulation of mud on the tyres.
Rear dropouts: The carbon rear dropouts incorporate an aluminium dual clamping system that allows you to change the distance between the frame dropouts from between 130 mm and 135 mm, depending on whether cantilever brakes or disc brakes are being used. If deciding to use disc brakes, the supporting pivots of the cantilever brakes can be removed from both the fork and the rear chainstay, covering the screw holes with a rubber stopper, thus improving the aesthetics of the frame. |
