Review
Cyclocross bikes just have that sex appeal to them, with enough beef to make you realize the bike still means business despite the curvaceous lines. Don't get too close, they do bite!
BH have offered up one hell of a bike for this review, in the form of the BH RX Team Ultegra edition - a full carbon race machine made for those who want to ride hard, or just ride in comfort. The carbon monocoque frame offers what BH have labelled to be "an explosive ride... with input from top professional European athletes" so you know this bike is the business.
As far as continuing the elite edge, Shimano components have been selected for all shifting and braking duties - leading to flawless performance through mud, snow and sand. This continues onto the factory RX 05 disc wheelset which offers robust performance and little weight.
All contact points on the BH RX Team Ultegra have performance in mind. A Prologo Kappa saddle gives you cushion for the pushin' while all cockpit items have been provided by FSA. Reliable, lightweight and always good looking...
We love taking note of the small details, because it can make or break a bike. In this instance, BH have been sticklers for quality and finish. For example, the BH RX TEAM Ultegra features removable cantilever brake mount posts, as well as alloy convertible dropouts (to switch between 130mm cantilever wheel setup, or 135mm disc brake setup). On top of this, the ride also features internal cable routing to keep the lines clean and the dirt out.
Although a bike like this will offer quite a comfortable ride, don't be mistaken for thinking it's made for leisurely cruises along the beachfront. This is a pure bred race machine and any other use could be considered a criminal offense. The geometry, components and frame material all lead to this bike being an extremely responsive rig - made to go hard, fast and never miss a beat.
If you think you're up for that kind of ride, you can't go past the BH RX Team Ultegra Disc.
Ready to mix it up in your local cyclocross series? Or do you have more grand plans...wins all over the Continent? The BH RX Team Ultegra Disc could be the bike for you. This machine features a lightweight, tough carbon frame and fork that offer precise handling on the roughest courses you can imagine. Shimano's Ultegra components handle drivetrain tasks, and parts from Rotor, Michelin, FSA, and Prologo finish the bike off. A Shimano factory disc wheelset and powerful disc brakes are the crowning touches.
