This is a perfect example of a bike designed for a specific purpose.
Specialized has always been known to design a different bike for every need, which is why all their pro tour teams now have 4 different bikes per rider. This bike is designed for hills, it climbs faster than any other bike.
The tight carbon layup matched with the new SRAM Red allows every watt of power to be transferred to the road. With this said we feel the wheels are little sub par for the price. The performance of these wheels is exactly what you would expect at this level however there are better models available that we feel would have complimented this bike better.
The Specalized S-WORKS TARMAC SL4 RED is a a true Pro Peleton bike. State of the art carbon technology means this baby was born to race. The S-Works model in the Tarmac series is the lightest and stiffest frame produced by Specalized EVER...
SL4 FACT IS 11r carbon is used to construct this frame, that means it is top of the line. Given this frame an incredible stiffness to weight ratio.
Rolling stock being a set of Roval Rapide CLX 40 wheels. Roval are a Specalized in-house brand and made to a standard you would expect from Specalized. The CLX 40 wheel-set are carbon clinchers giving you the weight saving and stiffness of carbon with the convenience of a clincher.
The shifting and power transfer for this model is handled by the race proven SRAM Red groupset. I dont really need to elaborate on that.
Cockpit components are made up of a mixture of high quality S-Works products. See the Specification tab for more details.
