This is why we developed our own Direct Connect process of producing finely tuned carbon frames. This is why we only use industry leading T800 and T700 in our frames. This is why we test our frames against others. Over five years ago we began producing frames with our Direct Connect Carbon process. Steadily and patiently we have refined, tested and evolved the process to create the lightest, stiffest, most durable race frame available. We used oversized BB and chainstays to minimize flex and increase power transfer, and thinned chainstays that are vertically compliant and absorb road vibrations. The Talus 29 Carbon Series uses our new IKT (Integrated Kevlar Technology) process that blends Kevlar and High Modulus carbon to protect the frame from debris that the trail throws at it. Combining this technology with a tapered headtube for added steering control, and internal cable routing for protected lines and a clean look, we created at 1080 XC dream frame. In the early days of mountain biking, Raleigh was at the forefront of MTB technology and took it to its limits. With the introduction of our IKT-reinforced Direct Connect frame, we’re ready to take it there again. |
