While the Avant is one of the most versatile road bikes ever made, some may see it best as a fast commuter for city riding. The Avant M50F is built with a flat handlebar and MTB style brake/shift levers for agility and control in tricky, city-traffic situations. It uses the same frameset as the more expensive Avant bicycles, and you can expect the same great ride quality and sure handling. We outfit it with Shimano 105 components to ensure a just-right blend of value and performance. The more relaxed fit on the Avant serves to make this bike perfect for around-town riding, with better visibility and control thanks to the more upright torso position.
