Merida Speeder 100 Juliet (2015)

The 2015 Merida Speeder 100 Juliet is an entry-level flat-bar road bike. Nicely laid out, it's a great, inexpensive way to see what riding the tarmac is all about: the frame is light, sturdy aluminum, paired with a carbon fork for a fast, responsive ride. Kit matches the frame: componentry includes a clean-shifting Shimano drivetrain, incorporating a triple chainring with exceptionally low mountain-climbing gears, and V-brakes provide sure stopping power. The wheels are light, tough alloy, wrapped in fat Kenda tires, lightly treaded for confident traction on the road, wet or dry.
Fairly aggressive geometry makes this a fast bike, ace for quick cross-town trips. Add some fenders for an all-weather commuter.
