Merida Ride Disc 500 (2017)

The 2017 Merida Ride Disc 500 is a mid-range endurance road bike. Relaxed geometry, enough clearance for 28mm tires, wide gearing, a comfortable saddle, and disc brakes add up to a drop-bar performer on pavement, path, or fire road. The responsive aluminum frame is tempered a bit by the carbon fork for a low-vibration ride. Kit is excellent for this price point: Shimano's ultra-reliable Ultegra drivetrain, road-specific RS685 hydraulic disc brakes, and a pair of Fulcrum Racing wheels, the last clad in tough Maxxis Detonator tires.
