Merida O Nine Pro 1000 (2013)

Unforgotten: José Hermida’s World Championship title which the MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM pro rider scored on his O.NINE in 2010. Therefore this bike entered MY 2012 nearly unchanged – back then, the frame weight below 900 g, the outstanding stiffness or the comfortable “Flex Stay” rear stay still ranged among the optimum in the market sector of 26” carbon hardtails. But for Season 2013, the MERIDA R&D experts were eager for getting busy again. Thus they equipped the O.NINE with a new rear stay whose sophisticated structure was initially developed for the new SCULTURA SL: A central layer of special flax fibres was integrated into the carbon mats of the seat and chain stays. This reduces vibrations once again and provides even more comfort – at unchanged stiffness.
