Merida Cyclo Cross 300 (2017)

The 2017 Merida Cyclo Cross 300 is a mid-range cyclocross bike. Built on a light, responsive aluminum frame, it's designed from the ground up for 'cross: the top tube is ovalized for easy portaging, steering is stable, and there's loads of tire clearance. An FSA compact crankset meshes smoothly with the Shimano Tiagra drivetrain, driving the fast-rolling alloy wheels clad in Maxxis' excellent Mud Wrestler treads, here in a slender 33mm; braking is capably provided by Tektro's Spyre mechanical discs.
A very good cyclocross bike.
