The 2017 Merida Big.Nine 300 is a low- to mid-level cross-country hardtail. Available in a wide range of sizes in a classy and cool matt blue, the light, responsive aluminum frame is paired with a smooth-action SR suspension fork for ground-holding traction and efficient action on the climbs. Kit is solid: Shimano provides shifting and derailleurs, meshing well with the FSA triple crankset, and the powerful, all-condition hydraulic disc brakes. Treads from Maxxis offer confident footing on singletrack, the big 29ers rolling easily over root, rock, and rail.
