Kalkhoff Sahel Compact Impulse 8 (2015)

The 2015 Kalkhoff Sahel Compact Impulse 8 is an electric bike. Nicely compact, the Sahel is an excellent choice for regular city riders with a modest amount of space available for storage. The frame is alloy, lightweight and sturdy, laid out in a novel crossed-tube front, providing easy step-through and room for the battery behind the seat tube. In addition to the electric assist, the accessory package is extensive, optimal for commuters: a light package, full front and rear fenders with mudflaps, and a rear rack, compact but strong.
Commuters will also appreciate the Sahel's small size, if attempting to board a train. It will easily fit in the modest space allotted for bikes. Kit is reliable and low-maintenance, including an internal 8-speed gear and Magura's venerable, durable hydraulic rim brakes.
