FeaturesThe Satellite Sport frame features Size Specific Tubing (SST): smaller frames are constructed with smaller diameter tubing to retain resiliency and ride quality, while larger frames are constructed using larger diameter tubing to retain stiffness for larger riders. The 4130 double-butted chromoly frame rides smoother & more comfortably than comparably priced aluminum framed bikes thanks to the natural shock damping properties of steel. Satellite Sport's frame geometry features a sloping top tube design, which is lighter than the "flat" top tube frame design that traditionally adorns steel road bikes, but still retains the handling & comfort characteristics our steel frames are famous for. The smooth riding full chromoly fork features a lugged crown for classic good looks, with eyeleted dropouts for fender mounting. Our Jamis anatomic handlebar offers comfort in all riding positions; our 3D forged alloy stem is light and delivers secure steering control. The 28 and 32 spoke front and rear wheels assure a reliable and durable ride for riders of all sizes. They ride smoothly too. Thanks to their higher spoke count, these wheels do not require super-high tensioning to keep the wheel in true, yielding a more supple, less harsh feel. FSA's Tempo triple crank offers the rider a wider, more comfortable gear range than standard-sized or compact-sized double chainring'ed cranksets. Tektro long reach brakes feature secure all-conditions stopping performance and offer enough clearance for wider tires (up to 32mm) and fenders. Shimano's 2300 drivetrain assures light, precise shifting throughout the entire 27-speed gear range. The Vittoria Zaffiro 25c tires hold just enough air volume to make for a comfortable & stable ride, yet are narrow enough to roll nearly as fast as 23c racing tires.
