FeaturesD29 Comp's frame is made with lightweight, triple-butted, Kinesis 7005 tubing and features a 1 1/8"-1.5" tapered head tube for increased frontal strength, a carbon fiber monostay for additional lateral stiffness and vibration damping, and a radiused/sloping top tube design that maximizes standover clearance. The large 46mm bore diameter of the Press Fit 30 BB system increases the frame's bottom bracket shell providing a larger welding surface that increases frame strength. Bearings are housed in nylon cups that are pressed into the frame's bottom bracket shell. Advantages of Press Fit 30: Improved bearing-toshell interface, greater bearing durability and simple installation. Rock Shox's Recon Silver TK Solo Air 29 fork offers a forged hollow 6061 aluminum crown, tapered steerer, 32mm stanchions, magnesium lowers, external rebound and Turn Key lockout . The Solo Air feature allows air to fill both the positive and negative chambers using a single valve, simplifying suspension setup while retaining a plush ride. Alex XD Sport rims feature stainless eyelets improving the seating of the nipple head for a better built wheel. The Geax AKA is a versatile tire for all types of terrain with lower profile knobs in the center for low rolling resistance and side knobs directly derived from their aggressive Gato tire for grip. A Shimano 3x10 drivetrain. 42/32/24 crankset and 11-36 cassette… that's 30 speeds for ALL conditions. Shimano's SLX Shadow derailleur features a quiet super low-profile design that won't slap the chainstay in rough riding conditions. The D29 Comp's cockpit includes Ritchey 31.8 over-sized, wide flat bars and stem for stiffer, more solid steering & handling and a 31.6mm seat post for a firmer pedaling platform. Ritchey's cockpit parts are manufactured by a 3D-forging process yielding optimal grain structure and eliminating all internal imperfections, allowing Ritchey to use less material without sacrificing strength or durability. Jamis lock-on grips feature a dual compound including gel in the palm area for comfort and dual lock rings for no-slip security. WTB's Silverado features an elongated shell that offers superior racer-body fit. The long narrow length allows the rider more pedaling positions.
