FeaturesThe XCR29 Race's Kinesium triple-butted mp4 multi-link suspension design is optimized to shed weight and offer superb pedaling efficiency yet remain fully active with a near-vertical wheel axle travel path. It includes 10mm shock hardware, 12x142 rear thru axle for easy wheel installation and tapered head tube for increased lateral & torsional stiffness and performance. The rear triangle of the XCR29 has our mp4 forged alloy linkage paired with short seatstays with a 3-D bridge, asymmetrical chainstays & 12x142mm thruaxle for ultimate strength and stiffness. Chain stay size has been increased 25% compared to 2012. The XCR29 Race's fully-active 100mm rear travel is controlled by a Fox Float CTD rear shock offering a 3-position damping lever (Climb, Trail and Descend modes) and Boost Valve to provide maximum pedaling efficiency, traction, rider control and bottom out resistance. The FOX Float 29 CTD 100mm travel fork features rebound adjust and 3-position damping (Climb, Trail and Descend modes) all with a 1.5" tapered steerer and 15mm QR axle for lightweight strength and stiffness. WTB Frequency Race i19 rims feature a UST tubeless TCS profile, I-Beam construction and straight spoke-nipple interface for strength and rigidity. SLX hubs feature Shimano's centerlock system for reduced weight and greater strength compared to 6-bolt fixing systems. Shimano's XT M785 crank features HollowTech II arms for reduced weight without decreasing strength and HyperDrive chainrings to provide precise, reliable shifting that is especially beneficial in severe off road riding conditions. Shimano's XT 38/24 crankset and 11-36 cassette supplies a light 2x10 set-up with a large range of gear ratios to take on any terrain. New Shimano SLX M675 hydraulic brakes feature the Servo Wave cam system with a shorter-throw lever to increase power 14% over last years brakes. Ritchey's Comp 4-AXIS 44 stem features an all new squared body profile for a stiffer ride and a wider 44mm front cap that supports more of the bar yielding more precise steering & handling. Jamis lock-on grips feature a dual compound including gel in the palm area for comfort and dual lock rings for no-slip security. The new WTB Volt saddle utilizes a "whale tail" pad shape which helps increase power output by properly angling to the sit bones while climbing. A flex tuned shell and a Comfort Zone cut out below the nose increase comfort while riding on the front of the saddle.
