shock damping properties of steel, with plenty of fender & rack mounts for full

The Aurora's frame geometry is specifically designed for long-mileage touring, with
longer chainstays for greater heel/pannier clearance and shallower frame angles
for a more comfortable all-day-in-the-saddle ride and more stable handling under
load.
Our lugged, full chromoly unicrown touring fork offers classic looks and steel's
legendary feel & durability with a full compliment of braze-ons for low riders,
fenders and racks.
The Aurora's wheelset is stoutly built with 36 spokes, laced in a 3-cross pattern in
both wheels to durable Alex eyeleted, double-wall rims and reliable Shimano Tiagra
hubs.
Aurora's 27-speed 105/Tiagra drivetrain features a long-cage rear derailleur that
enables Jamis to offer a wide range 11-28T cassette block. While the Micro Shift
bar end shifters will provide easy on the road maintenance and cable replacement.
FSA's Alpha Drive triple-ringed 48/36/26T crankset in tandem with the 11-28T
cassette offers a large range of gear ratios for comfortable & secure riding both
up & down.
The splined PowerDrive interface between crank and bottom bracket ensures
a greater contact area between crank & BB axle delivering a stiffer interface,
delivering more power per pedal stroke.
Aurora offers an auxiliary set of brake levers at the handlebar flats to offer sure
stops in any hand position.
Vittoria's Randonneur 32mm tires offer more air volume to support the additional
weight of loaded touring while delivering optimal road-holding capability & ride
quality. These tires also feature a "double-shield" protective barrier in the tire
casing that helps to prevent puncture flats.
Jamis Touring saddle with ergonomic design and pressure relief cut-out will keep
you confortable all day. The synthetic, distressed-leather like cover with just
enough nap to provide a grip on top, will offer a slick side surface to pedal against
smoothly.
NVO Components ATS adjustable-height stem system is much lighter than angle
adjustable stems and adjusts handlebar height more easily & quickly too.
Our disc brake compatible rear carrier with strap features tubular hollow alloy
tubing for strength, stiffness and reduced weight. Rear carrier is rated to carry
18kgs/40lbs.
Full coverage alloy fenders with mud flaps are light & stylish and protect both rider
and bike from rain water sloughing off spinning wheels. |
