Cannondale Trail 7 (2016)

The 2016 Cannondale Trail 7 is an entry-level mountain bike. Very modestly priced, the Trail is a chance for new mountain bikers to experience the excellence of a Cannondale frame in an affordable package. The light, responsive aluminum frame is kitted out with judiciously selected componentry, including Suntour's suspension fork and three-ring crankset, a clean-shifting Shimano drivetrain, Tektro's ace mechanical disc brakes, and a light, tough wheelset clad in WTB's excellent NineLine tires, at home on dirt, sand, mud, and even pavement.
Beginners will appreciate the wide gearing, low standover height, plush saddle, and intuitive EasyFire shifters.
A good recreational mountain bike.
