Review
The Quick CX3 sits right in the middle of the CX line of city/commuting bikes from Cannondale. The CX version, as opposed to the standard Quick, is designed around a frame with obvious mountain bike influences. One look at the massive 1.5" headtube is all the evidence required! Then we look at the rest of the bike.
700c wheels with knobby tires, disc brakes and suspension fork makes the CX 3 perfect for all weather commuting, riding through parks and gravel, and gives the bike some off road capabilities. In fact, in spite of its chunky MTB design this bike handles really well and is very agile - perfect for inner city riding. The "over-engineering" also makes it a very durable and reliable everyday ride.
A quality Shimano drivetrain, including Deore rear derailleur, round out a pretty decent component listing.
If you are looking for a bike to do a bit of everything from nipping down the corner shop or relaxed family rides, to everyday commuting in the worst conditions the city could possibly throw at you, the Cannondale CX3 is a good choice.
Sport. Utility.
On-road efficiency meets off-road ruggedness. The Quick CX's all-new mountain-bike inspired frame, 700c knobby tires, front suspension, and disk brakes make it the perfect vehicle for dirt road adventuring, off-road shortcuts through the park or all-weather commuting.
