With this project Bottecchia wanted to realize a frame able to satisfy the needs of the professional riders, addicted to a strong activity (medium/long distances)by joining experience, technical and structural characteristics and last generation technologies. We brought the same concepts of the Emme 2 on the Super 8Avio rear stay, revising them so to offer more vertical elasticity. The seat tube is studied to give more comfort on the top area near the saddle, and maximum stiffness on the BB area. The front area, very important on the Super 8Avio, regains the aero dynamical concepts of the Chrono bikes, integrating a part of the fork in the frame so to give to the bike a particular penetration characteristic, that increase the performance on the straight roads. The big technical development was completed with a clean design, totally integrating the cables and pointing out the shapes on the head tube and on the down tube. The carbon fibers used for this frame are a mix of Toray and have been worked on a double monococque mould of last generation. On the 2013 collection the frame remains the same, apart for the technical arrangement to be equipped with electronic groups, both Shimano and Campagnolo. The Super 8Avio is available in 5 sizes and 2 colors.
