| Features | Hollow Core Internal Molding Technology We build bicycles from the inside out The Ultralight RC, a monocoque frame design constructed entirely of carbon, is the result of years of study and research by the R&D department of BH Bikes. Using our Hollow Core Internal Molding Technology we avoid bubbles and imperfections in the carbon layup, eliminate inconsistent pressure within the mold and produce a high compaction rate for superior material strength. This technology has enabled BH, during construction of the Ultralight RC frame, to choose the optimum carbon fibres for use in each area of the frame. A combination of different modulus materials is used to obtain the weight, stiffness, and performance standards required by BH. Crankset BB386 EVO Increased torsional stiffness Developed by BH in collaboration with FSA the BB386 EVO crankset is another technological innovation found on the Ultralight RC. This innovation allows for the oversizing of the bottom bracket enabling BH to increase the diameter of the downtube, thus reducing the wall thickness while increasing torsional stiffness by 133% and rear triangle stiffness by 115% for better climbing and acceleration. 1.5” tapered fork and headtube with integrated carbon races More stability and control Constructed entirely in carbon, the headtube of the Utlralight RC features in-molded carbon bearing races. Mated with a full carbon fork, developed in conjunction with Enve Composites, the result is precise steering and increased lateral stiffness. The integrated full carbon front derailleur mount reduces weight and increases stiffness for unmatched performance. Internal Cable Guide System Our unique internal cable routing easily converts for use with either electronic or mechanical systems. |
