LAGUNA is reliable and comfortable, the result of years of experience, research and feedback from thousands of users whom have been riding on BASSO’s signature frame geometry for over 15 years. Laguna brings the BASSO RACE DESIGN geometry from the world of professional riders to the long distance amateur racers.
The LAGUNA utilizes 100% Unidirectional Torayca High to Intermediate Modulus Carbon Fiber in TR50 and MR60. It is highly respected for its light weight and high rigidity characteristics, but the response to stress is not too hard. This precious combination of carbon fibers is made even more resistant to impacts and stresses over long distances through the use of specific proprietary resins.
The new construction allows for the “frame shape” to support the structural load, while being able to engineer stiffness, and achieve an extremely lightweight frame. The resulting race bike is comfortable and responsive. Internal cable routing protects cable and guarantees functioning for a longer time, and gives the bike a clean and beautiful appearance.The full carbon forks are made for a light, stiff and confident ride.
With the use of a 1.5” to 1-1/8” tapered Microtech Quantum Carbon integrated headset, a stiffer lower base and a lighter upper surface is achieved. BB 86.5 x 41 bottom bracket press fit system allows to reach a significantly reduced flex, as well as reduction in weight. The use of external press-fit bearings increase lateral stiffness. This gives an incredible amount of power transfer that is not lost through frame flexing. The finished bike is stiff, light, responsive and...very beautiful.
