Apollo Shoreline WS (2015)

The 2015 Apollo Shoreline WS is a women's-specific comfort bike. Aside from Apollo's usual care with parts to frame size matching, the WS has a slightly shortened top tube and a women's saddle. Laden with new-rider-friendly features: a step-through frame for easy on-and-off, relaxed upright seating, a padded saddle and grips, broad plastic platform pedals, a chainguard, and a kickstand. The Shoreline bears up well for regular riders: the widely geared drivetrain from Shimano shifts cleanly, linear pull brakes provide sure stopping power, and the light, tough alloy wheels are clad in fat pavement tires, rolling smoothly and surely.
