Del Sol Bike Parts & Accessories
Del Sol is a U.S.-based bike manufacturer. Focused on the joy of cycling, the company produces a range of bikes that are a pleasure to ride, be it a casual ride aboard a cruiser or a regular commute. The catalogue is available exclusively through local bike shops; Del Sol has a wide-ranging distribution network spanning Asia, Australia, and North America.
From its inception, Del Sol's mission has been the same: practical, enjoyable transportation. Models are purpose-built, the lines including commuters, town bikes, cruisers, and recreational bikes. Frames are aluminum or steel, parts are chosen for reliability and value, and paint schemes are delightful.
The cruisers are exceedingly comfortable, each with foot-forward geometry, apehanger handlebars, and the minimum number of cables. Most are single-speed coasters, with a select few offering multiple gears or disc brakes. The designs range from Model A black to dense, vivid patterns in checks and stripes.
The town bikes are much more low-key, with monochromatic or, at most, two-color paint. The majority have cushy suspension forks and seatposts for smooth riding over potholes or down gravel paths; the upright seating contributes to the riding enjoyment of the most casual rider. The town bikes are also a bit more complex, with hand brakes and derailleur gearing.
The errand runner or commuter is well-provided for with Del Sol's D Street collection. D Street encompasses two distinct styles of bike: swift, minimalist speedsters and practical, load-carrying uprights. The former are available with geometries from slightly upright to aggressively low, with one to twenty-one gears, eschewing accessories for light weight and speed. The latter are luxuriously appointed, with racks, chainguards, and full fenders; contact points are optimal for riding in street attire.
Del Sol makes an inexpensive, practical bike for daily use. Try one out at your local shop.
