C-Preme Bike Parts & Accessories
C-Preme is a U.S.-based bike helmet manufacturer. Currently offering helmets under four brands, Raskullz and Krash! for kids and VideoHead and Bult for adults and teens. C-Preme helmets can be found in big-box retailers across the U.S.
Starting out in 2010, C-Preme focused entirely on kid's lids, making bright and appealing designs to encourage young riders to put on a helmet. Success was practically instantaneous; the company's licensing of certain popular characters from children's media, past and present, went over like gangbusters with the younger bike and skate set. Over the next few years, C-Preme expanded its offerings to include video-recording adult helmets. Most recently the company has been acquired by BRG Sports, and will be rubbing shoulders with venerable helmet brands Bell and Giro.
The VideoHead and Bult helmets incorporate camera, microphone, storage and controls in a sturdy helmet quite capable in a range of activities, from urban BMX or skate to off-roading or winter sports. A specialty model for the cold-weather enthusiast includes a warm liner. Styles tend to be more conservative.
The Raskullz helmets are decorated with popular characters from cartoons and the company's own originals, almost all of which add ears, noses, or more outlandish projections outside the certified protective shell. Even the most conservative are laden with colorful designs and patterns. Krash! lids are simpler in style, although still quite over-the-top, with spikes, skulls, and similar nonsense; these too are certified for both cyclists and skaters.
If your young rider has been reticent to put on the helmet, C-Preme might be the answer.
