Orbea Orca M10 (2015)

Shimano’s Dura Ace 9000 mechanical groupset is often considered the finest on Earth, and there’s no reason it shouldn’t be out of reach for the everyman. We married it to our stunning Orca OMP frameset in the Orca M10, a mere 150g heavier than our range-dominating OMR frame to complete the best-in-class weight differential for the price. Racing bicycles have become minimalist machines – but the more taken away, the greater the importance of what remains. The lower spine of the frame supports the upper members like a suspension bridge in a balance of lightweight rigidity. The downtube and chainstays of the Orca provide stiffness while the top tube and seatstays are tuned to almost nothing. The primary purpose of their slender shapes? To reduce mass. When it comes to taking down the local KOM or hanging with the pro on the group ride, the Orca M10 can make up the difference.
