Merida Reacto 5000 (2017)

The 2017 Merida Reacto 5000 is a mid-range aero road bike. The 5000 is a looker, its slimming color scheme lending a misleading appearance to the tall, profiled tubes, carefully shaped to cheat the wind and deliver power efficiently. All-carbon, the frame offers a skosh of vertical resilience and none at all along the lateral axis, providing a rigid base and leaping off the line. Drivetrain is Ultegra, the ultra-reliable mainstay of Shimano's mechanical groups, meshing smoothly with an FSA Gossamer crankset.
A very good aero road race bike.
