Features | - NANO-particles reinforce the epoxy-based matrix structure - for up to 40% improved hit-resitance. - External butted head-tube with huge dimensioned 1.5” lower head-set and matching taper-steerer fork. - Brake or shifting-cables routed internally through the frame’s tubes. - Additional flax fibres in the carbon structure of the seat and/or chain stays and/or fork blades reduce high-frequency vibrations. - Anti Wrinkle System – through three dimensional shaped silicone inserts, which will be removed after the manufacturing process, the internal surface of the carbon monocoque gets significantly improved. - Front fork made of carbon composite material; at some models 100% made of carbon composite. - Bikes/frames with the symbol “Di2 Ready” are optimally prepared for the installation of this technology – especially with a battery mounting possibility below the chain stay or in the seat post. - Thanks to our “S-Flex” technology, the REACTO shines with a seating comfort which is outstanding in this segment. With its elastomer window, the aerodynamically optimized seat post absorbs surface bumps very effectively. - Of course, an aero bike has to offer best possible data in terms of aerodynamics. But at MERIDA, best possible adaptability ranges directly second. Because even superb wind-tunnel data can be useless if the pilot is not able to position her-/himself optimally on the bike and thereby produces an unnecessarily high air resistance. Thanks to the “Flip Flop” head for the saddle, the seating angles of our REACTO and WARP TT can be modified optimally. - The special “NACA Fastback” tube profiles of our WARP TT and REACTO base on the evaluation of data which were collected during comprehensive wind-tunnel tests (with and without pilot simulations). - Our special seat-post clamping mechanism efficiently minimizes turbulences at the top end of the seat tube and thereby saves important power. |
