There are many good reasons for choosing a carbon hardtail. But there are also a lot of equally good reasons for selecting a model with an aluminium frame. Aluminium bikes are far from being "old-school" or "boring" - especially when they are made by MERIDA: During "Hydroforming", hot oil pushes the frame blank under high pressure (working from inside to the outside) into exciting shapes.
