FeaturesThe Ventura Comp frame features Size Specific Tubing (SST): smaller frames are constructed with smaller diameter tubing to retain resiliency and ride quality, while larger frames are constructed using larger diameter tubing to retain stiffness for larger riders. New for 2013 is the 1 1/8-1.5" tapered head tube. Using a tapered head tube allows for a larger 1.5" lower bearing, tapered steerer and crown which increases stiffness, strength and stability. The SST radius top tube gives the Ventura a different look while at the same time is optimized for increased performance and stiffness. The oversized 34.9 seat tube allows a 31.6 seat post which provides a stronger pedaling platform. This frame is a competition inspired sloping top tube design featuring 7005 double-butted tubing, an integrated head tube for aerodynamic efficiency & ride-tuned rear stays with a replaceable rear derailleur hanger. Jamis full carbon Ventura fork features a tapered steerer tube for increased stiffness and strength. Designing the fork to incorporate a 1.5" crown race allowed us to produce a full-hollow fork, from steerer tube through crown and down to the dropouts: it's not just lighter, it's stronger! Low spoke count wheels featuring Mavic rims offer less aerodynamic drag than higher spoke count wheels and are lighter, reducing rotational weight for higher performance at lower energy output. FSA's compact crankset concept is revolutionary: a 34T inner chainring offers a 15% lower gear ratio than the traditional 39T double ringed road cranks, but the 50T outer loses only 6% off the top end compared to the 53T traditional outer. You get the hill climbing capability of a triple, yet less weight than a standard double. A sealed cartridge bottom bracket improves performance and reduces maintenance. Tektro's dual pivot brakes with adjustable pads offer safe, secure braking and high quality forged alloy construction. Shimano's new Sora 18-speed drivetrain with updated derailleurs and shifters assures light, precise shifting throughout the entire gear range. Vittoria's Zaffiro 23c tires offer legendary, road-holding capability and superior ride quality. Selle San Marco's SPID Arrowhead saddle looks racy while at the same time is designed for comfortably thanks to the ergonomic shape and pressure relief cut-out in the shell. Ritchey's Logic over-sized 31.8 handlebar & stem combination delivers comfort, light weight and reliability at a critical rider contact point. Ritchey oversized 31.6mm alloy seat post increases pedaling platform strength and dampens road vibration.
