Review
The BH G6 looks the business and the business looks great! It is immediately apparent that this is a quality frame with outstanding finishing details, and it looks fast too!
Many manufacturers are turning their hand at creating an "aero" road bike. The sort of bike that perhaps looks to the aerodynamic advantage over weight concerns or even, Heaven forbid, comfort. We have seen bikes fitted with seatpost bumpers to try and eek out some form of compliance from a super stiff, aerodynamic frame...so what about the G6?
Well truth be told this is a compliant bike. You would be forgiven for questioning this when looking at the chunky, oversize, aerodynamically shaped tubes that comprise the majority of the bike. The thin seat stays are obviously doing their job well because this isn't a harsh ride at all.
Components on this model are great as well. This is the Ultegra version and as you would expect shifting and braking are smooth and reliable.
The only issue I have is probably a personal one. I don't like FSA cranks and have experiences to back this up! All I will say is; make sure the cranks are fitted precisely and "by the book" in your local bike shop and then check again. The last thing you want is to ride with a loose crank arm and wear the spline...
The BH G6 is a brilliant frameset and would be suitable for many riders. This isn't only a flat road, stiff, aero bike, it could be a very fine all-rounder as well, and is a good choice for mid-market buyers looking for a beautiful, capable road bike.
The new G6 is a 100% handmade carbon aero road frame designed around the BB386EVO bottom bracket system and deeper aero tube sections for increased frame stiffness and efficiency.
Inspired by the success of the G5, advanced by new carbon technology, and designed to redefine the Aero Road category, the G6 is truly an all new road experience.
