The 2014 Basso Laguna Ultegra is a top-end road bike. Looking fast even standing still, with a white-on-black team-style color scheme and smooth, sweeping lines, the all-carbon frameset is aerodynamic and efficient, the rear triangle tight, just clearing the rear wheel with a seat tube cutout, the oversize head tube paired with a fork deeply profiled for lateral strength and vertical resilience. Kit is impeccable: 3T provides the cockpit, Shimano the drivetrain and brakes, and Fulcrum the epic wheelset, light and fast-rolling. Light enough for climbers, stiff enough for sprinters, and comfortable enough for long breakaways, the Laguna is an ace all-round racing machine.
